RealAssist is a solutions provider for realtors, based in the Ocean City, MD area. We offer our services primarily to the Ocean City, Berlin, Salisbury, and Delaware beaches areas, but have been known to travel all over Delmarva. We’re locals who know the area, the market, the business, and the competition… but where did this come from?
The story of RealAssist was bound to happen sometime. A realtor, frustrated with the high costs of digital imagery and virtual tours, which she finds is a necessity in today’s market, complains to a computer geek: I can’t believe how much time I’m taking snapping pictures… and my online listings are getting looked at last because I don’t have any virtual tours… Why does that stuff have to cost so much?
The computer geek replies: Umm, it doesn’t cost that much at all… Those prices are a bit inflated… I would say I probably could do that for a lot less for you…
Realtor: You mean you can get the lower resolution stuff cheap, right?
Geek: What? High resolution and low resolution pictures come from the same camera… that doesn’t make sense… I mean, we could do this maximum quality for a minimal price…
Realtor: Seriously?
Geek: Seriously. Is that a big deal? Would other people like that?
Realtor: Uh, yeah!
